本校为中华总会馆所属之侨校，创建于1888年，是北美洲最早建立的中文学校。本校使用汉语拼音和简体汉字，兼顾认识繁体字，让学生能适应各方面的需要。

一、招生级别﹕幼稚班、小学、初中、高中，按照学生中文程度分13个班级

1. 幼稚班AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA2. 小学一年级至小学六年级

3. 初中一年级至初中三年级aaaaa4. 高中一年级至高中三年级

二、上课时间﹕

1. 课后班（星期一至五）（8/19/24开学）

幼稚班和小学1-4年级:下午3﹕45--5﹕45，小学5-6年级、初中和高中:下午4﹕25--6﹕25

2. 星期六﹕上午班9﹕00--12﹕00，下午班1﹕00--4﹕00（7/13/24开学）

3. 星期日﹕上午班9﹕00--12﹕00（7/14/24开学）

4. 暑期班﹕每年六月中旬开班，教授中文和开展文体活动。请在三月份注意本校通告。

三、 报名时间﹕

上学期（7月至12月）三月开始报名；下学期（1月至6月）十月开始报名。

四、 收费﹕

本学期收费$360元（包括学费、书簿费）。必须使用支票交费

支票抬头﹕CCHSA或ACentral Chinese High School。

CENTRAL CHINESE HIGH SCHOOL IN AMERICA

(Effective from Mar. 16,2024)

 

 

Our school is an overseas Chinese school run by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association.  It was founded in 1888 and is the oldest Chinese language school established in the United States of America.

To meet the demands and developments of the times, our school teaches Putonghua (Mandarin), and uses the Chinese pinyin Romanized alphabets in its instructions. In regards to Chinese characters, the school continues to teach students the traditional Chinese characters, but the emphasis is laid on requiring the students to recognize and write the simplified Chinese characters, so as to prepare them to cope with  different needs and requirements.

I.          Class Schedules:

(1)   After-School Classes (Monday to Friday):

Classes for Kindergarten and the elementary school levels are from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. every day. 

Classes for middle and high school level are from 4:25 p.m. to 6:25 p.m. every day.

(2)  Saturday Morning Classes: from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon;

(3)  Saturday Afternoon Classes: from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

           (4)  Sunday Morning Classes: from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon;

(5)  Summer School: Every year our school holds its summer school will start from mid-June, in which students learn the Chinese language and participate in cultural and sports activities. Please look out for our school’s Summer School Enrollment Notice in March.

  II.     Enrollment Period and Student Identification Documents:

Enrollment for the First Semester begins in March; enrollment for the Second Semester starts in October.

  III.     Tuition: The tuition for 2024 fall semester is $360 (costs of textbooks and exercise books are included).

Tuition must be paid by checks payable to CCHS  or  “Central Chinese High School”.

 IV.      Office Hours:  Mondays through Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturdays and Sundays Morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Saturdays Afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

(2)   Saturday Morning/Saturday Afternoon Classes:  Saturday morning classes from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon;

                                                                                        Saturday afternoon classes  from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

          (3)   Sunday Morning/Sunday Afternoon Classes:  Sunday morning classes run from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon;

                                                                                 Sunday afternoon classes are from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

(4)   Summer School:  Every year our school holds its summer school from the last two-week period of June through the first two-week period of August, in which students learn the Chinese language and participate in cultural and sports activities.  Please look out for our school’s Summer School Enrollment Notice in March.
